A. Teaching
Professor has taught the following courses severally at UNN, ICTP and AUST:
Mathematical Analysis, Metric Space Topology, Functional Analysis, Nonlinear Operator Theory,
Geometry of Banach spaces, Nonlinear Iterative Methods and Hammerstein integral equations.
B. Postgraduate Supervision
Professor Chidume has supervised 18 (eighteen) Ph.D. theses in Mathematics. 6 (six) of his former
students whose Ph.D. theses he supervised are now Full Professors. They are: Professor Habtu Zegeye (Ethiopian), Botswana; Professor A.N. Eke, UNN; Professor M.O. Osilike, UNN; our own
Professor Chika Moore, NAU; Professor Eric U. Ofoedu, NAU; Professor Bashir Ali, BUK.
While at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) of UNESCO and IAEA, Professor Chidume supervised 61 (sixty one) Postgraduate (Post M.Sc.) theses in Mathematics for students from the following 16 (sixteen) countries: Cameroon; Egypt; Ethiopia; Ghana; Indonesia; Iran; Kenya; Morocco; Nepal; Nigeria; P.R. Congo; Senegal; Somalia; Syria; Sudan; and Vietnam.
